Let's start talking about some things that are going on inside of the world. So of course we have to talk about our favorite place because this is where we're at Florida, Florida, Florida. So let's talk about it just one bit. Here you go. More than 100 and 50 arrests were made in Miami Beach over the weekend of spring Breakers descend on the city. Friday was the busiest, with 120 people getting arrested and two officers suffering injuries during clashes with boat goers. The gathering got out of hand with one point that officers had to deploy pepper pepper balls. Now pepper spraying pepper balls into adjust to disperse the crowd. Please, somebody tell me what pepper balls are. Mayor Dan Goldberg lay down the law following the chaotic weekend, saying, If you're coming here because you think things got, anything goes, Ah, you're going to have a terrible time. We are here, We are here and we're going to arrest you. So there you go. That's what was going down to Miami Beach over the weekend. Well, I have to tell you, the governor here was actually hanging out at Bike Week, which was kind of interesting sitting around drinking some beers. And some people are walking around drinking some beers with some people. It seems like a lot of new mass going on. But, hey, that's you know, that's your gimmick on wherever the hell you want to deal with that. What's going on over the weekend? So interesting weekend in Flora. Uh, anyways, let's continue talking as you've already heard. AstraZeneca has found no evidence that that it's covid 19 vaccine and Chris is the risk of blood clots as dozens of nations stop using some or all of their doses. The drug maker drugmaker tried to ease concerns about after blood clock emerged in some people who had been vaccinated, explaining that there's more than 17 million people in the U. K. And European unions that have received the jab with no evidence of high risk or pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrown bomb Buddhism there has been a third. There has been 37 instances of blood clots reported among the vaccinated people in the EU and the U. K A number much lower than to be expected to occur naturally in the general population of this size, according to AstraZeneca. While the vaccine is unlikely to be the cause, the company said that they will keep you keeping the issue under close review. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization stated that countries should continue using the excellent vaccine as the only way to overcome the pandemic is to get vaccinated. So what do you think? So I know there are some people that have already that would listen to this show that have already been vaccinated, and there are some people that are debating about getting the vaccination. So what do you think? What do you think about this whole thing? And if you already have been getting vaccinated or have already received the vaccine, what are you thinking? What comes to mind? And if you're on the verge to it, are you asking brand specific? Which was a question I think I ask on Day one, when we started hearing that there was going to be multiple sources if we were going to be asking. I mean, let's be realistic. I think most people right now we'll be asking for J and J. R. Johnson and Johnson because it's a one and done one and done thing. I'm just saying, Let's continue talking dictionary dot com has updated its database with new entries and definitions, many of which were inspired by the coronavirus pandemic. New entries include hybrid learning Super spreader in the new definition for the word zoom, uh, doom scrolling is another one that came up. Obviously checking the Internet for bad news and sleep hygiene, trying to maintain our quality of sleep were inspired by the habit of forming during the lockdown. Other new words pertain to race, social justice and identity, which were heavily focused on during the past year. So what do you think? There. I mean, a lot of these words are coming about now, so I mean, let's kind of be realistic zoom like, Are you gonna be on a zoom call today? It doesn't necessarily have to be zoom, but people refer to it. It's almost getting the same rap as Kleenex did at some point. Yeah, I remember that. That every kind of tissue was record. Was seen as a Kleenex. Yeah, a Kleenex. Or, you know, before people really call them copying machines, it was. Can I get a Xerox of that? Xerox? Yeah. I'm definitely aging myself with those comments and commentary for sure. Okay, so something to think about. Let's continue talking. A million years ago, Greenland was likely to be free of ice in a home of various plants. According to a new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists. The analyst, uh, the analysts came from the core sample that they dug a mile beneath the service back in the 19 sixties but was forgotten in the frozen storage. Some plant matters were even visible to the naked eye. A lead researcher told Gizmodo. He added that the ice she disappeared in climate systems that didn't have many human influence. So there you go. A lot of stuff to think about. Why do we talk about this stuff like, seriously, why do we talk about it anyways? A lot of stuff going on, By the way, somebody was actually referencing this to me. I don't know why I'm breaking up, I guess. Maybe because I looked at the monitor over there, um, about how my my, uh, how you can't distinguish between my chair in my shirts half the time and how my chair makes my shirt to look very, very large, but I think it's kind of funny. It's like, Wow, you're really paying that kind of attention to my chair or my shirt. That's kind of weird. Maybe I should start wearing some better shirts, even though I do like my to write love on my arm shirts. I like them like them a lot. Anyways, before we continue getting too far down the rabbit hole. Let's get you two, my little buddy, my little buddy John Smalls, And let him tell you what is going on inside of the world of the motivation minute. The Motivation minute is courtesy of better credit cards dot com. A. P J. Abdul Kalam said thinking should become your capital asset. No matter whatever ups and downs you come across in your life, think about this. Sometimes we rush into things because we don't take the time to think things through. I've witnessed people make terrible decisions based on just the excitement in the moment. Be careful about that. Take a step back, take a deep breath and think about the good and the bad with each big decision. Now, if it's something simple, like, what's for lunch? That's not as big a deal as things like, Which home do I buy? Which company do I work for? Here's my advice. The bigger the decision, the more thinking you should do. Good luck with all that. This has been today's motivation minute, courtesy of better credit cards dot com. I'm John Small. Thanks for listening. Your favorite motivational quotes can be submitted for upcoming programs at motivation minute dot org. Okay, join us on all major social media platforms and we are radio. So I have to tell you, John does have. I mean, he does make a lot of sense with a lot of the motivational minute stuff that he does and talks about and the things that inspire him and the things that he recommends that you think about before you getting too far into it. Uh and I have to be honest. I mean, a lot of people like John Smalls I really like the stuff that John comes about with. And if you kind of remember, depending on how long you've been listening to the show, I was pleading begging, asking for the people that were showing up into the box, uh, to do the motivation. Minute kind of thing about talking about what? You know, the highlights of life. Blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Um, I asked repeatedly. Nobody really ever responded to the gentleman I kept on asking. Never responded. So we move forward with John. I think John does an excellent job on how he actually does come about with doing them. Uh, so hopefully you do enjoy the motivation minute. So there you go. It was to continue talking. A record breaking 4.9 or 4.5 million vaccine doses were administered in the US on Saturday. According to the CDC, more than one in 10 Americans are fully vaccinated against Kelvin. 19, baby. Well, one and four have received at least one dose. Um, does, uh there you go. The news comes in less than a week after Joe Biden announced that all adults in the U. S. Are eligible for the vaccine by May, the first worth noting the U. S first broke the world record of daily vaccinations on Friday into early Saturday with almost three million. So I don't know what does the lines look like now, And, by the way, I'm not sure, because, of course, all I do is kind of sit over here and hang out with this microphone thing about Did you hear the news story? I'm not sure on which show I was on at this point about people getting hit on on in the lines now for the vaccine and people dressing up hardcore like they're about to go out on a date. I guess that's one way to look at it. Let's continue talking. Dr. Anthony Fauci backed a new study that suggests that schools can reduce space between students from 6 ft to 3 ft in the classroom. According to the new Massachusetts study, researchers found that no significant difference in coronavirus spread between 6 ft and physical distancing versus of reduced 3 ft. The C D. C will soon ease physical distancing guidelines for in person learning, Fauci noted during an interview on CNN. Hold on so there is no difference between 6 ft and 3 ft. Now hold on. Isn't that like half the distance? So what's going to happen next? I mean, I know that we hear that term the new oops. Let's try that again. The new Dharma all the time, the new Dharma. But is that going to be the case? The new normal. So 3. 63. How is that going to change? How does that going to impact? So that's from learning environments based on what it said right there. So how do you look at it as the safety pro that you are? How is that going to work inside of your world? Will you start doing in person classes? Just a question. Just a question for a question there. Think about it for a moment because there is a lot to think about. You are listening to something. You're listening to the rated R safety show. Okay. Two men have been arrested for assaulting us Capitol Police Officer Brian during the January attack on the capital. So I've come to the portion that I'm not going to name names because I don't want to continue to make stupid people famous. So Here you go. The two people that are accused 1 32 the other 1 39 that are accused with discharging bear spray into the faces of three officers, including six another capital officer in the D. C. Cop. The three injured. The three injured officers were temporarily blinded and left incapacitated for about 20 minutes, according to The Washington Post. Additional footage shows cynic being beaten in the head with a fire extinguisher. He died at the hospital the following day. No arrests have been made in connection to his death, as officials have not determined the exact cause. Hold on. Didn't they just say he got beat to the head with a fire extinguisher? I think that that might be something to look at in particular that might be because of the issue. What did he just say? We don't always agree with the viewpoints of our hosts and guests back to real safety. Talk on safety FM Okay, The Vatican decreed Monday that the Catholic Church cannot bless same sex union since God cannot bless sin. The two page explanation issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith states that the church welcomes and blesses gay people but cannot bless their union, since any such sacramental recognition could be considered could be confused with marriage. The church believes that marriage, a lifelong union between a man and a woman, is part of God's plan, and it is intended for the sake of creating new life. Since gay unions cannot part part of that plan, they cannot be blessed by the church, according to the document. While Pope Francis endorses providing gay couples with legal protection in same sex union, that is in relation to the civil sphere only not within the church. So there you go, so that I mean, let's talk about this guests. But I don't know. I mean, it's going to be one of those weird things in regards to what we're talking about. Because the Vatican doctrine is saying one thing. The pope has said another, which seems to kind of confuse a little bit of of the communication method that is being shared. You can't have what you would say, quote unquote the head of the table, saying one thing, and then all of a sudden, the people that are kind of running the joint saying another and I know that this is will be one of those things that can cause controversy because we are talking about same sex marriage. We are talking about religion, and if you kind of know about this, there's certain things you just don't talk about. Let's throw in some politics while we're at it, too, because that might add to this thing. But what do you think when you hear this, I'm just asking a question. There's a lot to think about protection, how it looked at how it's viewed. What's your opinion you can share inside of the box? I have no problem sharing what you have to say out loud. No problem at all. Safety in a way never heard of before. The rated R safety show on safety event. So have you heard about this? Coronavirus cases in Texas continue to trend downward. Yeah, you heard me correctly. They continue to trend downward. Over the past two weeks, the rolling average number of daily new cases has decreased by 42.5% According to new data from John Hopkins University. The number of hospitalizations is also dropping. Over 2.8 million Texans have completed their vaccination or about 10% of the population worth noting. It was about one week since Greg Abbott and the state covid related restrictions, including the mass mandate. So what do you think here? Because let's talk about it. If you are a numbers person and you look at this, what do you think? I mean, 42.5% is a number. It's gigantic. So what do you think? Do you think that Texas has it right on how they're doing it? Or do you think that this is going to come back to haunt them? I'm asking your opinion, not mine. What state are you currently in? And do you feel yes, you right there that they're doing it the right way? What kind of restrictions do you see? What kind of restrictions are taking place there A lot of stuff to talk about, Of course. Anyways, continue stalking real quick. We'll continue talking about stocks and then talking and stalking. I mean, maybe that's not what I was trying to say. Uh, stock averages started the new week in positive territory as the Dow was lifted 174 points. The NASDAQ gained 100 and 39 points, and the S and P added about 25 points. It was the seventh straight gain for the Dow and the fifth consecutive winning day for the S and P 500. Shares of Netflix fell more than half a percent on Monday and under pressure and underperformed the NASDAQ Composite index. Investors are beginning to fear that competition competitors such as Disney Plus will erode the subscriber base. Recent recent recent recent crackdown by Netflix to limit password sharing seems to have done more harm than good. So there you go, Leah Duck. So question for you. So if you're coming to us from Vietnam, what are you seeing in your area? How are things going? How is things being treated over there in that sequence? So that is what I am wondering. Are things good or are they going indifferently? I'm just wondering on what's going on across the world. We always try to take a look around and see the things that are going on inside of the world, because I always think that's kind of an interesting aspect. Anyway, let's continue talking about some other things going on inside and what is going around and about and all that kind of fun stuff, because I always think that those things are very important. So let's go from there. Here is our main story on the right safety show. Okay, so let's talk about it. A lot of things going around, a lot of things changing inside of this new world of ours as we continue to talk about it all the time. I always love when I start messing with stuff, Um, in this world of ours, as we do talk here and let me explain what I mean. Currently, there's a lot of classes that are taking on or that are going on, not taking on that are going on online. There's a lot of classes that are taking place online because of some limitations that are going on, of course. So as you look at this and you hear about it, you see either a couple of different things. Either classes are moving online or classes are being performed online, or things are getting moved out for a year out, just kind of the way that has been going. So as you look at this and you hear about it, What do you think? Because it becomes very confusing at times because here's the thing I love. When people start texting me in the middle of show, it's always fantastic. Um, here's the thing When I started when I started looking into this, here's what's going on. Some classes are being moved altogether, too, from in person to online, from online to rescheduled or so on. So here's what we're seeing. A lot of things going on is that our people are taking classes online, and either they're saying one or two things. Either was a really, really good class on the way that it was presented, how things were done, how the information was shared or things are not going well at all. Because here's the thing. There is a difference between how you do an online class and how you do it in person class, and sometimes people get confused on how that works. So let's talk about some other aspects as well. Turning on a streaming mechanism and talking behind this thing does not necessarily make this a great analogy or a great thing to take a listen to. I'm just saying, but as you look at this. There's some other stuff that happens as well. And what do I mean by that? Well, a lot of the people that are going around and about and doing the things that they do are not getting. Um, we'll say, quote unquote the cheetah, the cheetah that they were told that they were going to get. And what do I mean here, exactly that there are a pretty there is a pretty big or go out there. Currently that is going around and about that is booking people. I've had several conversations with speakers. Well, let me rephrase that with several speakers, and this company is based out of another side of the world. We'll just say that they're based out of where the safety FM UK is based out of, and they're booking speakers, promoting how the speaker is either part of their association going to be the next big name speaker, or how all of a sudden the speaker is there. But they have never agreed to speak for them. So all of a sudden, the speakers feel bamboozled in regards of actually going there because all of a sudden people reach out and say, Hey, I was told that you are going to be speaking at X. Then what ends up taking place is that the people don't know what to do because they're like, Okay, well, now everybody is expecting me to be there, but I'm not really there. So when that happens, the weird thing about the whole thing is this. So then the speaker might show up to the event that they were never really booked at and not get paid for it because they don't want to disappoint the people that might be waiting for them. The other side of the equation about the whole thing as well is that some of these events are solely booked because of this. These large name speakers that are going to be allegedly there and you have paid to actually attend. Then you come to find out that the speaker was never booked. So you ask for a refund. Guess what happens next. The refund that never comes. Why? Because everything subject to church. So all of a sudden you're out the money for a speaker that was never booked in the first place because of this organization turning around saying that they have booked these people. Now, I will tell you, this organization has reached out to me and I've had multiple people tell me about the bad experiences that they had had with this organization or where they were booked and never got paid. Now I will tell you right around the time for the pandemic They were talking about putting on an event here in the U. S. Multiple. I think they were able to pull one off. And, of course, some of the speakers reached out to me to let me know that they went to the event and never got paid. The other interesting part. I always recommend strongly vetting people, if you can, when you're going to interview them. If you have a show or if you're doing anything with them, let me explain why, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you want to take a look at it, because we try to do some very authentic interviews here on our network here of Safety FM, this particular group has actually slid into some of our other shows, promoting some of their events and listen. At the end of the day, I don't ever want to be a value taken away from you. I always want to be a value added, including our platform of safety FM that we give to you. So first off, I want to apologize for that occurring because I take responsibility for this shit right here. And I'm not talking about just this show or the other show that I host. I'm talking about all 19 shows on the network because that's what it is. It's 19 shows of things differently, but I take responsibility for some of the well, not some for all of the activities that takes place on safety FM and that we bring to you. So by no means do I ever want it to be one of these strange things where you feel like it's a disservice of what we're doing. But unfortunately, by bringing someone on board to be even interviewed, that was scamming people. We have to apologize now. I don't think that it's worth talking about names and you're not. You will be able to figure it out relatively easy, but you have to be extremely careful that when you're booking some of these things, because let's be realistic. Some of these classes and some of these hybrid events. Digital events are high dollar, and when that takes place, we don't want it to be a loss of money for you, especially if you have somebody who's a name speaker that's supposed to be there, I will tell you. I have recently interviewed someone that stated the exact same information that had just occurred recently to them. They were listed as now part of their board members and as a speaker on their next virtual event, that they were charging high dollar. For now, don't get me wrong. I'm not so boxing it up today. But I want to share the information with you because I think it's important. And let's be realistic. If you don't feel comfortable talking about this, that's fine. But if you want to share this message, you're more than welcome to. I'm okay with that because that's the whole point. We should be able to share information on what's going on and listen. This show has always been your show. This rated R safety show is your show. We've made the show because this is what you wanted. This is why we're doing Episode 316 today on day March the 16th, which is also 3 16 on the date. 316 of these bad boys on your recommendation on where you wanted this where you wanted to see this Go. So if you're seeing something inside of the industry where you're getting ripped off where speakers are not showing up and then they give you the subject to change card, let me know we'll share it right here. There is no problems about it. We want to be a service and not a disservice. And don't worry, I've had conversations with the presenters or show host that had this guy. Oops. I want to tell you real quick because this is where some of my frustration comes about. I hate and I'm gonna say hate when people take advantage of other people when they are selling them A bill of bad goods. Because let's be realistic. Don't start booking saying that you have somebody booked that you don't even know or have and try to finagle your way on forcing them to show up because now all these people have that expectation and number two to the whole thing. When you do this crap, all it does is do a disservice to the whole community overall and issue refunds to people. If they don't want to be there, then that's fine. And don't don't be the reschedule king or queen or binary. Oh, yeah, We're gonna have to reschedule this. We're gonna have to reschedule this. We're gonna have to reschedule this. And we've hung onto your money for, you know, the last five years because of the reschedules. Anyways, let me get off of that, because it's not gonna be here all day talking about that portion anyways. Have you heard about this? Let's talk about some other things going on inside of the news. Of course, Michigan Hospital System has launched an investigation into an alleged. The price is the price is right. Style game being carried out during operations. Yeah. Did you hear about this? This is not a joke. Although no one is shouting Come on down to start the game. Social media photos have been posted of doctors playing the game segment called Guess the weight in one of them, an account run by residents training at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids shows the organ removed in operations with the words the other game we play in the O. R. Is guess the weight it applies to more than just babies. Prices right. Rules apply. So if you go over, then you're out. So think about this real quick. So you're out on the table doing the things that you do and all of a sudden Voila, voila, voila, Voila! Somebody's messing around with you like a little bit more than probably what you bargained for. That's a shitty situation. Let's talk about it. So let's continue talking real quick. The Batman director Matt Reeves revealed that he has just wrapped up with the Terminus production. He shared a memento from the set with the holy and hotly anticipated flick. It is a holy anticipated flick, uh, posting a photo of the clapper board wrapped in plastic, which was probably used in the shooting At the last scene from the production, the clapboard was just put in a box, along with the other items, indicating that they may later be sold and displayed somewhere for memorabilia. The film, starring Robert Pattinson, has walked along the winding road of production largely due to obstacles presented by the pandemic. There's a pandemic going on, Oh my Lord. So there you go, There you go. So let's talk about some other things going on inside of the world. It is 46 minutes past the top of the hour, bringing helicopter parents back to Earth. Did you hear about this one? Yeah, let's talk about a little bit more. Sometimes you just take you just have to let your kids be. That's the takeaway of a new study on parenting, which found that micromanaging Children can do far more harm than good. A Stanford School of Education study researchers found that especially during more emotional task if parents were heavily involved, let's be involved. Asking questions, making suggestions, corrections, offering further instruction, Children had more trouble with the tasks and be and behavioral issues. The researchers point out that their findings comes at a time that the conversation around parenting is increasingly critical of helicopter parents and snowplow parenting. Despite is often a good intentions, can end up being counterproductive to kids. I'm going to say my I'm going to say My mom was a helicopter parent. Let's just say her voice sounded like she was giving highway traffic reports and leave it at that. That might be a little bit better. My mom, I'm not sure. I'll ask her when she comes by with with my lunch, just in case, and I was going to point out that micromanaging is also harmful in the workplace. But my boss already knows because he already, um, sent me this email to talk about it this morning. So there you go. A lot of interesting stuff going on, of course, inside of the of the world real quick. So let's continue talking. Driving record. A 50 year old man has set an embarrassing record by failing his attempt to drive to get a driver's license for the 192nd time. The unnamed man in Poland has reportedly been trying to pass his test for the last 17 years. Fortunately, his miserable attempts to get a driver's license occurred on the road. In Poland, a person must pass a theory test in taking their actual driving test. Not only retaking the test cost them hundreds of hours of time. He also worked out the more equivalent to of the U. S. Dollars of 1565. He owes his buddy at least that much for all the rides to the D. M. V. That's another thing, And then the last but not least, I could pass a license test with my eyes closed, which is apparently what this guy has tried to do. Maybe he needs to, uh, needs reading lessons more than he needs driving lessons. Maybe that's another portion to think about. Just just saying just saying there you are listening to a radio. God. What? This has to be an error. That host is not a radio God. Anyways, this is the rated R safety show on Safety FM.
