It is intended only for mature audiences. Finally show with the ball should call it like it is rated R. Safety show on Safety FM. Countdown to audio torture decorated. Our safety show starts in 321 levy ear drum pain, begin. Forget the corporate bullshit. This is the rated R. Safety show with your host. Dr uh It doesn't matter who the host is. Well, well, well, is that not the truth or what? Hopefully you're wide awake. Yesterday's Wednesday, April 21 of 2021 day, 111th of the year. Just in case only 254 days left to go. Yes, that's exactly what's going on. Uh So hopefully you had a good and high time in grand time yesterday as everything was going around and about and so on. Anyways, we're broadcasting live from the safety FM studios in Orlando, florida coming across the Multiverse of Safety FM. Uh, so that's what's going on. And we're also hanging out with this other place, you know, that does some other things. Maybe someday, somehow we'll talk about it. Think about it someday somewhere. Well, sometimes they like me and sometimes they don't and I know exactly what I did, I know exactly what I did. Let's try that again. Always streaming real. So, I have to tell you every day is like a new day. You know what I'm saying? I'm starting off from scratch apparently, because I don't know what I'm doing half the hell of the time here, So that's okay. Anyway, so let's start talking, let's start moving and grooving. If you're new to the show, if you haven't seen me in a while. Oops, let's say that again. Uh so, here, let's talk about this. This is what the show consists of, What we talk about is what is going on inside of the world of the news. And then from there, we kind of talked to some professional people that know exactly what they're talking about. So they'll give you some lingo and all that kind of fun stuff. I'll come in and Sprinkle in some of my nonsense. We'll talk a little bit more, we'll have a main story. We'll talk about what's going on inside of the features of the different kinds of stories and then go through that whole thing. Now keep in mind that we are always a radio show first followed by a podcast, it's also a streaming service. So I don't have this thing where I have to stare into your eyes inside of the camera because some people deem that thing to be so important. I kind of on the other hand just tend to lose it and not pay close attention to what's going on. So if you see some weird stuff that happens, you know that's exactly what's going on. So anyways this is the rated R safety show just in case because sometimes I think people think that you know it's not and it's the show that tells you how it is or finally a show that tells you how it is. Um because I think here's where we get lost in translation. This show right here was asked for by tons of people, not if you put them all together they will attend. That's not what I'm saying. Um But a lot of people ask for straight shooting straight talking in regards of doing something not the Happy Go Lucky stuff that we do on some of the other portions of the station. People wanted honest talk. So we talk about news because news is something that's pretty large. It covers, it encompasses the world of safety. And then we talk about some main stories because that's the other portion. So it is your show. We do what you want most of the times. We try to dedicate a whole day of just talking about whatever the hell you want to talk about. So don't worry about all that stuff. So what we're going to start doing right now is we're gonna start talking about some of the trends of what's going on inside of the world. So let's talk about it real quick. This was trending on the top five fiction and nonfiction books on the new york times best seller list. So taking it from the number five spot all the way to the number one spot in the fiction category. Good company at number four. The Midnight Library. That sounds interesting. Number three, we're crowd had sing at number two, the four winds. And at the number one spot in the fiction category, the hill we climb. Taking it into the nonfiction category at the # five spot, the light of days And number four beautiful things at number three. Broken and number two Finding freedom. And at the number one spot according to the new york Times best seller list is broken horses. That broken horses asses. Is that broken horses? So there you go. That is what's going on inside of the sequence of the events. So let's talk to our friends of course, at the feature story of the news. Let them talk about what they have to say. We'll get you moving and grooving and then we'll come back and start talking about what the hell I have to say. Let's go from there. Yeah, that's for sure. Anyway, let's continue talking. So anyways, a lot of stuff going on inside of the world to the news. Um, I will tell you because I'm gonna just shoot straight with the, uh, boom, boom, boom, boom. We had another song plan for this morning for when we started off, but with everything going on, I definitely thought that the titling was, was definitely in poor taste. So we opted not to do that this morning just in case. Uh, but we did have, we did have a pretty popular song they were supposed to be playing, but after the events from yesterday, I thought it would be kind of a shitty scenario to do that. So we opted not to do it, just always want to make reference. So I have to tell you, I've been going around taking a look and you know, going back and forth with people, what is going on with the arch of reading a freaking email? It is a lost our church. We look at headers and we definitely don't do anything else. Over the course of the last 12 hours I have received To emails. Maybe three of people not reading the contents of the email. They normally have a subject line and then they have something that's related to what's supposed to happen inside of the body of the email. But what I think is interesting is that I keep on getting calls in return of, hey, where I need to know this information. Well, it's in the email. You just have to read it and I don't write books on emails for people to take a look at now. I will tell you though, here's the fun part I've been playing with this video program recently. I'll share this with you. Um in this video program, we've been testing some things where we get to send some messages to people. You know, kind of like if you're just doing a video, you shot it over on somebody's text. Well yesterday I had this glorious thing that I was sending something to someone that I, I want to interview and I had sent this real sarcastic message to one of the show Hos here. Hi josh, How are you? Um, and by accident because I was trying to do it so quickly because I was in the middle of doing one thing and trying to get to another. I shot the sarcastic message to this person that I do not know. Instead of the serious one of what was supposed to take place. So I'm sure that I will never get to interview this version now just because of my snafu and I thought it was kind of funny when it was all said and done anyway, so let's talk about what's important because you're here to hang out. It is 30 minutes past the top of the hour. Uh Exactly what is going on, Hold on. What do we got here? Hold on, hold on. Morning doc. Is that your natural hair color? Keep on rocking natural hair color. Yeah, it's called skin. Thanks Alan, I hope all is well by the way, I get you to talk to me from time to time, which is fantastic. We still need to have all three of you on the show at somewhere in some way, shape and form in my life. This needs to happen. Uh don't know when it will, but at some point it should happen. I think I'm in Tennessee in july now that I think about it. Yeah, I think it's july anyway, so let's start talking about what's going on around the shit list because that's exactly what I call it most of the times. So you now that when you go into the office from time to time, you have people that have to sit around with their morning beverage, they have to sit around and getting ready on how the day is going on. I drink my coffee, I drink my energy drink, I drink my water, I drink my doctor pepper my soda, my pop depending wherever the hell you're located. But let's talk about it. There is a bubble tea shortage. The drink which includes a layer of tapioca balls or bow buzz at the bottom originated in Taiwan has become a hit around the world. The shortage behind the fat drink comes from companies struggling to keep the bell ba in stock is, shipments of the ingredients are being delayed. The senior sales manager at a World leader Way International incorporated, one of the biggest suppliers of of the ingredients of northern California told the san Francisco chronicle that it could at least take two months for the boba to catch up to the demand. So just there you go that's what's going. God Jr just moved back to Chicago. Thanks alan for telling me I will be in your In your area 18. Alright I think we I think I could manage to get that to work. I think that I'm there at the beginning of the month in Tennessee and then I actually had it should be back before that. So that's cool. That's very cool. Um So yeah we definitely need to do it so Alaska to Chicago, interesting, interesting. Sorry about that side conversation for sure. You know, train of thought here. Uh So think about this. So now the people that sit around in the morning with their boba teas are not gonna be too happy about the whole thing. I mean just think about it in that particular fashion. Anyway, so let's start talking about some other things. I don't know if you saw this, this was you know, not as important as some of the other news that was going on yesterday, but this broke, this broke the sequence of events. Scientists believe that they have determined how many tyrannosaurus rexes once roamed the earth. Using calculations based on body sides, sexual maturity in the, in the creatures, Energy needs. Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley uh, deduced, deduced the average of 2.5 billion meat eaters lived on the plant on the planet over the course of a couple of million years. Given the uncertainty of the dinosaur generation, length and range and how long they were romance. The Berkeley team said that the total population could be as little as 140 million, or as much as 42 billion. Oh, you know, just slightly off there with 2.5 billion as the middle value. So I am glad that this information broke yesterday. Hold on. Did you say it was 420 yesterday? What did he just say? We have? Safety. Don't always agree with the viewpoints of our hosts and guests. Now, back to real safety talk on safety. FM. Okay, so let's talk about it as of Tuesday over 213.3 million covid vaccines have been administered nationwide. Over 86.2 million americans have been fully vaccinated. While more than 100 and 33.2 million have received at least one dose according to the C. D. C. The number of collective cases in the U. S. Is just over 31.5 million with more than 564,800 deaths attributed to the virus. So that's what's actually going on there now. I know that we talk about this all the time. I know that we talk about this and regards of what is happening. So let's go through it one more time. The vaccines here you get to take it if you will have to take it and then you get to move on with life. But here's what's going to be weird is that there's still some protocols in place that will have not changed or should change but have not changed as of yet. So we need to start taking a look at, you know, what's gonna make sense for your situation. I was just reading information that On June 15, California will reopen as normal and we're already seeing some other states doing the exact same thing ahead of time. Uh, so that's the other portion. A lot of this is going to play to wherever the hell you're at. You know that I know that we talk about it. So what are you going to do now? Are you in a job place, a place of employment, part of a team that is requiring requesting that you have the vaccine to return to work? I don't know. I'm just asking the question. So you have to do what is going to be in your best interests as we do talk about it anyway, Let me give you some information about Moderna. Moderna hopes to have Covid 19 booster shots ready for all americans this fall. Ceo Stephane Bancel said that this week that the booster shot will likely be open to the public this fall to provide additional immunity against covid 19 variants. He also noted that while the officials anticipate anticipate more variance occurring in the US in the next years or so, the increase of vaccination will help slow down the spread. The company long term goals is to create two in one vaccine that protects against both the flu and covid. Well, there are not two dose vaccine is reported to be more than 90 effective against the virus. So there you go. You can double up and here's the thing we have to talk about this. All medicine at least to this day that I've seen has side effects. So if you double up on this and I'm talking about doubling up that it does the flu and it does the actual covid and the variance There are going to be side effects. And I just think that when we start looking at some of this stuff, especially when we're having the conversation about Johnson and Johnson being pulled off the shelf after 7.5 million people being dosed with it because we had six people Develop Blood Clots six. So we were talking about it, it was zero, it was .00008. Did I say that? Right? zero zero. Was that 40? I just want to make sure that an eight side effects. Now, that is one side effect. when it's what's related to blood clotting. I'm sure there's other side effects. I will tell you when it comes to different medicines. Look at some of the side effects. Matter of fact, think about some of these dumb ass commercials that we get to see. You're watching tv. Oh yes you're having problems with your bowel movement. Let's do this and take care of it. But this can also because of your bowel movement and we're helping you provide one. Here we go. You can have a head trauma, you could have bleeding inside of this and it's like do you pay attention to everything that's listen. Okay that might be a little bit vulgar for some but think about it for a moment. Think about the side effects that occur with most of these things. I'm not justifying one way or the other. I'm not saying go out there and get the vaccine. I'm not saying don't get it, but you need to take a stand point on whatever the hell you want to do. I hope he kind of dig there on what's going on because that's the problem. We don't want to do our own research and let me tell you something. I have come to the conclusion that over the last little bit, I have become a total asshole when it comes to talking about people doing google searches. Listen, I know that I talk about research and I talk about people vetting self. I think it's super important to do that. I don't want to ever sidetrack about that. But I also noticed and I also came to the realization that you have one of the most powerful tools on the planet, normally inside of your pocket and that is your cell phone that will allow you to get answers to millions and even billions of questions that you might have. The problem that I probably should have addressed properly. Back at the time when I was bitching about, it was telling people yes, Okay, Yes, you can become dr google, but hey, listen vet, where you're getting the source info from, That's what I should have said. I shouldn't have been slamming on people for months because I did it for months about google searching. I was wrong for that so that I do apologize whatever an apology for me comes from. So think about that for a moment, you have to do the vetting properly and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go through a crap storm here talking about it, but vetted properly. Yes. Use the most powerful tool that you have, which is a search engine, use what you have available. But also be realistic when you're doing the searching and don't go to some of these weird ass websites. The only website of the truth, I mean, come on. I mean, we have to be realistic unfortunately. Or fortunately depending on what camp you want to hang out in, everything will have a bias. Some people don't want to hear that. But it's the truth. I have my general feelings on how I feel about certain elements. So if you ask me about it, I am going to Lean one way on it or another. I would love to tell you that I'm right down the middle. But there are certain things that you can tell me that I will in turn get upset about or get angry about or say, well that sucks Or I don't like it and kind of Lean one way or the other. It could be the best thing on the planet for some. So that's the portion anything that you do, you will see that there is a bias associated to it unfortunately. Or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the same applies to you. Yeah, I said that out loud, very out loud. Damn. What do I say? Sometimes you are listening to something. You're listening to the rated R safety show. Okay, so as you've seen the news because it's been all over the place that broke yesterday. Derek chauvin was found guilty on all three counts of yesterday in the murder of George Floyd. He faces up to 75 years in prison, 44 2nd degree murder, 25 years for third degree murder and 10 years for manslaughter sentence is expected in two months and it is expected that the prosecution will ask for a long term. The verdict drew some strange comments from public officials, uh, going around. I mean, I'm just gonna, I mean, there was all kinds of strange stuff. Um, it was just weird some of the comments that were coming about. I mean, there were some stuff that came about that I wasn't sure. And of course they're all available on social media there. They're all available as you start looking. And I don't want to highlight one over the other and so on. But you have to take a look at some of one of these and we'll talk about mostly public figures. And I'm sure that if we decided to take the dive in the swamp today, we can go into a little bit more specifics. But that's the thing. I understand people have had a response to this because it was important of what was going on yesterday. but sometimes we have to look at what we're verbalizing and we have to also look at the platforms that we're using. I'm in regards of this, because here's the thing, I'm not saying that you need to take a hard stance if you have a platform on one year having some of these discussions, but you definitely need to take a stance on when you say some shit and be careful on what you say, because there might be some other people listening, especially if you have a large platform, so just think about it for a moment. Yes, I do understand there was a lot of things going on yesterday, but that platform, regardless of what you're saying, you're held accountable for, you're held accountable for the things that you say, and I'm not trying to downplay anything that was done yesterday, so let's just do it that way. You are listening to a radio God. What? This has to be an error. That host is not a radio God. Anyway, this is the rated R. Safety show on safety F firm. Okay, so I don't know if you heard about this one, but 19th were shot while attending a 12 year old birthday party in last place Louisiana over the weekend. The shooting occurred over Over a verbal confrontation that broke out during the party, the sheriff office said in a press release. Those were injured, including a 17 year old who was shot in the arm, a 16 year old who was grazed by the in the ribs, a 15 year old who was grazed by the ankle of a 15 year old that was shot in the foot and a 14 year old that was shot in the leg, and a 13 year old Who was shot in the leg as well, and a 12 year old shot in both legs. The two victims were 16 year old who um, hold on. The two other victims were a 16 year old who was shot in the stomach and a 14 year old with a gunshot wound into the head. They both remain in the hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made. Now, I will tell you this, it's getting more and more interesting as we see this. I mean, we talked, I mean, we talk about it and we see things all the time. We see things that occur. But isn't that interesting as we start talking more and more, of course, about the and um, the random acts of violence that occurred. And don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna say anything strange, but people that want to get ahold of guns illegally can still get ahold of guns illegally and people that want to get ahold of guns legally, they still have the chance of doing that as well. So, but that's the thing. That's the conversation. What is going on that we're seeing more and more gun violence is of late at a 12 year old birthday party. I mean, let's talk about it and of course I'm gonna make the asshole comment is always of hazard Matrix. This is not something you definitely planned for. I would never expect being at a 12 year old birthday party and say, hey, let's be on the lookout because we might get shot here. We at safety FM are not responsible for what this idiot behind the microphone is saying is trying to be entertaining rated R. Safety show. Okay? One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting at a suburban new york grocery store. The suspect, gunman Gabriel Dewitt Wilson, 31 was taken into custody around 3 15 local time at an apartment building rough. Really about two miles. That was down the road from where the shooting occurred. Wilson, who worked at the store, reportedly went into the offices immediately after arriving to work, shooting a man and a woman in a in a one room before going down the hall and killing a 49 year old store manager officials reported a motive has not been known yet. Oh, should I continue? Should I continue with this, Shootings in New York's continued to rise last week, a number of shooting incidents and victims rose over 250 in a 262.5 respectively, compared to the same period last year. So far in 2021, the number of shootings and victims has risen dramatically, uh with a 59.6 hike And the number of people shot a 64 increase in the number of incidents, compared to the same time period last year, according to the NYPD, mayor, Bill de Blasio was asked about the increase in shootings and what he plans to do about it. He reportedly um, had not much to say it during the time, but we're definitely seeing it more and more and more. I don't know. I don't know. I don't even know what to say anymore. Anyways, let's get john smalls inside of here and let's start talking about what is going on according to the market. Meet minutes. Here's your market beat minute for Wednesday, april 21st 2021 the S and P. 500 had its worst day and weeks on Tuesday. As the market gears up for a peak of earnings season so far, the average S. And P. 500 company has beaten its consensus estimate for earnings growth, but by a smaller margin than past quarters, this situation is leading the market to re price and that isn't being helped by the inflation picture. The theme of the season so far is rising commodity prices and the upward impact on prices for consumer goods. Wednesday's action maybe more of the same. There are a few key earnings reports, including one from Verizon. The mobile communications company is expected to report before the bell and could drag the market lower. Later this week, reports from Chipotle, mexican grill and Whirlpool may move the market and there is some economic data on tap. The index of leading indicators is due out thursday and a key read on manufacturing is due out friday. You can get the inside track from Wall Street's brightest minds delivered directly to your inbox every day at market beat minute dot com. Okay so let's talk a little bit more. Wall Street continues its slide for the week. On Tuesday. As the all three major index traded lower, the dow plunged about 256 points. The NASDAQ slipped 100 and 28 points and the S. And P lost about 28 points. The World Health Organization proclaimed the virus infections were nearing the worst. They had been through the entire pandemic. As a consequence, strong corporate earnings were overshadowed as the investors raised to sell their position in travel related stocks. Um Airlines and cruise lines were down severely during the session as a result, IBM surge about 4% on Tuesday after reporting better than expected first quarter. Now here's the other side of the equation as we are talking about this. The US. Department announced this week that it will increase. Yes I did say increase its do not travel advisory to about 80 of countries worldwide. At least 34 of the 200 countries were already listed as a level four. Do not travel the highest warning handed down by the department. This includes Argentina. No not Argentina, come on, Argentina, Argentina, Brazil, Haiti, Kenya and Russia. Getting getting to the 80 would mean Adding 130 additional countries. Most Americans were already barred from traveling um too much of Europe because of COVID-19 restrictions. So there you go That is definitely going to put some dampers in, something's going on for sure. Anyway so let's talk about it. It is past that time, it is 32 minutes past the top of the hour. So let's get us going into our main story, here is our main story on the right safety show. Okay, so let's talk some more. Let's move and groove. Let's do the things that we do because you know, at times we tend to forget about some things, you know, present company included, I'm talking about myself here on this particular wine, but how often are we looking about? Looking at our programs, We're looking at what is going on inside of the world of our culture, inside of our organization, our little world view of what we do for work, our little world view of what is going on. And we go, okay, planned for this plan for that. Plant. Plant plant plant okay. Which planning is good and we start going down and future this and wish that and goal this and all that. But what happens when you're in a meeting and you see a lot of this stuff, you have somebody sitting there, they're doing the texting on the machine, you're trying to talking to them, they're looking around, they're glancing there hanging with their phone, blah blah blah blah blah. There's a lot of distractions. The thing that I hate when I used to go to concert, not counting yesterday of course uh where the distraction is so big that I have to have my cellphone readily available recording the moment because I have to be in the virtual moment to say forever that I never watched any of the videos that I pre record. But anyways. Um but that's the thing whatever happened about being in the now, whatever happened to that concept, we get sometimes so worried about our future and where we want to go and what we want to do that. We forget how important the journey is. We forget how important it is to look at what is going on now in front of us. Like right now I can be sitting here going I know I have 25 minutes. I only have 25 minutes left On. What is going on inside of the show right now. So what do I need to do for the next 25 minutes? The next 25 minutes needs to consist of me doing this, of reading that I had to play this. I have to play. But that's not living in this particular moment. That's not me having a conversation with you right at this moment. That's not us thinking about what is going on as we are conversing. Yeah, I am aware. Some of you replied directly back as I'm talking. It's okay. It happens. But that's the thing. Why can't we be in the now? Why do we have to be thinking about the future? Why do we have to be thinking about the past? Why can't we do some of the stuff that is so important to what is going on or uh some of the things that are going on right now, we get so hung up that we're gonna miss something that we forget about what is going on. Now. I will tell you I worked at this place where I would get to speak to the ceo of the company. Pretty large company. The letter might repeat three times. But let's not get let's not get too far there. And he had this terrible habit that I would sit there speaking with him and he would be with his computer typing away. And sometimes I would have to plan for these moments months out And it could be 15, it could be 30 minutes, not not anything super long and he would sit there and email people or he would text people or he would just ignore that I was even there in what I would actually do is I would just randomly see say random shit that I know that didn't make any sense whatsoever just to see what he would say and with his agreeing and shaking up his head and I always found it amusing that those things would happen. But he never wanted to live in that moment. He never wanted to live in what was going on right there. And then I remember talking to him at one and saying, hey, if part of our programs made sense inside of this joint, I know of this presser that is done once a year about Ceos that get it. What? Yeah. So there's this magazine that does this article once a year that calls Ceo Zach Anderson talks about safety all of a sudden when I said that all of a sudden it lit him up. But then he was almost interested in what I had to say the next meeting was scheduled and he paid more attention to me than what he normally did. But still the emailing and the taxing and sell wine. But here's the thing, as I look at that years later, it still bothers me to this day that that had occurred because he didn't deem it important until something was going on with him. Now let's take a look at this for a moment and let's take a look and say imagine that you have a team member, a coworker come up to you and want to talk, do you think that they're going to want to be so involved with you if you're not focusing on them in the right now and No, I'm not going to drop a Van Halen song right now just in case. But think about that, think about the importance when you're paying full attention to somebody who's in front of you and the importance that that brings to that person because you're not looking around on your computers, you're not looking around on your phone, you're not looking around at the events around you, You are looking at that person and that bullshit that people say Black and Mounties task. Now when you're reading it, I'm trying to talk it's probably not gonna happen unless I say something kind of rude. So think about that now let's switch this slightly. What about the data that you're inputting? What about the information you're obtaining? How do you make that about the now? How do you make that about what is going on at this particular moment? What I would ask you for this challenge on this Wednesday is focus on the things that are going on in front of you today. Don't worry about, Oh my God, what is going to be the next big fire that needs to be put on or put out focus on the moments in front of you? I'll tell you I'll probably change a lot more things than what you think. But what do I know? I'm just a guy behind a microphone. Oops. What did she just say? We have safety. FM. Don't always agree with the viewpoints of our hosts and guests. Now, back to Real Safety Talk on safety. FM. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the home of Real Safety Talking. You are still hanging out with me as we are taking you. I don't know where we're taking you. I don't even know if we're doing the drive time or what the hell we got going on inside of your area. But that's exactly what's going on. And I have to tell you, I know that sometimes I get too passionate for Sam. Uh, some people don't like it because they get bothered about the things that I say but that's perfectly fine. I am not a cup of tea for everyone and that's okay. Never wanted to be, never planned to be. And that's what happens. Oops. There you go. I'll talk about not being a cup of tea for everyone. Let's talk about this. Here's our Q. R. Code just in case if you did not take a look at it yet. But we did make some signs that looks similar to this. So there you go. Uh if you're kind of feeling left out at the moment that you're not speaking in any events during september the 13th through the 15th, you could actually post this on some of your social media platforms. So there you go. I am not speaking at any safety conference or expo if you don't have access to the QR code just in case you can go to safety FM dot com forward slash I am not. Yeah, just exactly how it sounds. I am not, you can't find it. Just go right there on one of the tabs. It does say it on the website. I am not. Yeah, I am not, yep, that's what, that's what we have. So there you go. Um so that's what look you are coat, enjoy it, enjoy the QR code. I have fun with some of these things. It the fun part is that if you kind of look at the bigger portion of it, you kind of get what's going on. I think you really do. Uh but some people are, you know, they don't open their mind to what is going on anyway, let's continue talking a placement for everything. Let's start shooting some of the bull. Um as you probably know, product placement in movies and tv shows is big business and about to get even bigger. The advertising industry is now turning to technology that can seamlessly insert computer generated images and add product and branding into films and television shows retrospectively, yep, that's right. Someday you could be watching a classic movie like Casablanca and notice that there's a new labels of champagne bottles in Rick's cafe or a different background of neon neon advertising signs in Ocean's 11 and a few months or years later, it can be added product easily switch out to a different brands. You know, it's similar to add insertions just just saying and then a few months. Uh so you got that, but on the road that's if the UK advertising company Morad gets its way. The company, which got its start in special effects, is now using technology for a chinese video streaming website and the in the makers of the U. S. T. V. Show. Modern family have also tried it out. The music industry hit hard by the pandemic is also getting into the act. Older artists could have a new make new money on old videos and current artists who who support the latest shoes, phones, bags, uh could have them changing the later years to newer designs without ever having to do anything themselves or re record the video. It's nothing scared um scared sacred anymore. By the way, uh this story is brought to you by joe's plumbing repair just in case because you know that's going to change, let's face it, the miracle if they want having started inserting commercial into breaks into the middle of the movies at the theater yet. Whoops! I shouldn't have said that out loud because you know that that's gonna be the next thing. So talking about changes in technology, I want to share this with you. If you are an avid podcast listener yesterday, the good old people at apple podcasts and you don't get me wrong, we hang out with a lot of people on apple podcasts, they have decided yesterday that they are putting in a change into the industry, They are going to be doing something different now. I'm not sure if you're familiar or not familiar with Patreon. Patreon is a paid for service that allows you to put content out and you kind of have like a membership that you can actually pay for or you could just support a creator. Well, I guess Apple, to an extent, notice that this was something that was becoming more and more popular. So as of yesterday, Apple has announced that they are revamping some of their podcast in a new feature that they're going to have for creators is for them to essentially sell their podcast. Yes, you did hear me correctly there now, it could be anything from this. You do you still have free podcast or you could have a specialty podcast that you would actually to pay access for? I'm gonna tell you, yes, it is great for creators who do not have advertisers and yes, let's be realistic advertisers or would help a lot of these shows run and so on product placement, which has talked about here as well. But I'm thinking that what we're going to see is an onslaught or a slew of new podcast or even older podcast, start selling their podcast just the way that it goes. You see industry industry trends, we'll start seeing some changes. So if that's the case all of a sudden now the question is going to become, will you be willing to subscribe to podcasting? I like this show. I pay X amount of month for to be able to listen to it. I like this other show and I pay X amount of months to be able to listen to it. It I think that for the end user who is the audience member, the listener, this can get expensive quick. So I will tell you what I told you close to three years ago when we were starting this meth. Mhm Safety FM. The radio station, what it has always been that does podcasting will be free. I will tell you the shows that I host will be free unless something dramatically changes. And if it does, we'll talk about it first. My shows will always be free because the radio shows, we're radio first followed by podcasting, followed by streaming and I'm talking about streaming video because we have live streaming radio stations. Safety FM dot com is a live radio streaming station. Radio big dot FM is a live streaming radio station and we do some video content. So I just want people to be aware as you start seeing market changes. That's where some of these things will go and start leaning. The other portion that we're starting to see. So let's be realistic is podcasting with video streaming. If you listen to the joe Rogan experience, the probably one of the most popular podcast on the planet, you'll come to the realization right away that he does both. So that would lead me to believe, which I said when there was announced many, many months ago that that is where the industry will start going. It's not trying to go on a slew of podcasting, but I want you to be aware of what is going on. So the changes that occur inside of the market will reflect what others are doing now. The fun part is there are people that are out there. There's like we will always be free, blah blah blah. But they want to always be brand new inside of the trend. So we'll see what happens inside of what is going on. So, mark the date if you want you April 21 2021. Like I said, we're a radio station and at least the podcast radio shows or whatever you want toward them that I host will continue to be free unless something dramatic changes. So there you go. Anyways, let's continue talking about some other things that are going on inside of the world and even Smarter watch. Yeah, you heard about this Or maybe you didn't a smartwatch that has been developed that could revolutionize their detection and treatment of Covid 19. The device identifies patients the highest risk of dying by analyzing their sweat, yep. You heard me correctly there? How it picks it up is the signs of the potential deadly over the reaction of the immune system. When this occurs, the antibody ravages the heart, lungs and other organs triggering inflammation. The phenomenon known as psycho Thanh Storm is a major reason. Covid kills uh sweat sensor. D. X. Aims to alert doctors and patients of an impending attack. It opens the door for faster, more efficient effective therapy, according to the inventors from the University of Texas who hook em horns, Stella steroids and other drugs work if administered, quickly offering hope to reduce hospitalization and mortality. It's great news. It's just not sure if it's reliable. Is something that could be invented by someone who doesn't know how to spell sensor. So think about that because they don't call it a sweat sensor as an S. E. S. O. R. They call it sweat sensor as S. E. N. S. E. R. Just in case. Uh, so probably not the type of smartwatch you asked for for christmas or I guess you could, so think about it. This just means a check will continue, um continue to go on. So I have to tell you, I do have two daughters. So I want to talk about this. We are about to mention something because I've watched this movie about 1000 times. But there is such thing as the real life Rapunzel who held the Guinness record for the longest hair on a teenager as chopped off her main Natasha, what is it natalia? She Patel of India, decided to stop her to stop her hair when she was, when she was six. A bad experience. After a hairdresser. Over the next 12 years, her hair kept growing and growing and growing and growing. And by the time that she was 18 it measured a whopping six ft 6.7". That was good enough for multiple Guinness World Records um including the longest hair on a teenager, in the longest hair ever on a teenager, smashing her own record three times. But she finally decided that it was time for a change. She went radically with a new look, a Bob after being cut last week. Her hair was found to weigh about 9.4 oz or 266 g. Miss Patel, six ft long ponytail is now being shipped to California. Will, will be displayed at the Ripley's, believe it or not. In Hollywood. The museum fly away hair literally. Uh Not not joking on that one. Uh And what else what else do we have here? She might miss her hair but her shower drain will definitely not miss it at all. More mortal kombat beat down. Okay so it is 55 minutes past the top of the hour. I will be hanging out on radio big dot FM. If you want to come and hang out with me here in the next five minutes or so.
